Nonprofit organizations play a vital role in addressing various social and economic issues. We are lucky to have several incredible organizations supporting Mercer County communities.
However, getting donors and volunteers to support their causes can be a substantial challenge. One of the primary barriers is a lack of awareness about an organization's mission and impact. Many may not be familiar with a nonprofit's work or fully understand its goals. Another barrier is the competition for resources and attention. With so many nonprofit organizations, it can be challenging to stand out and attract potential donors and volunteers. Additionally, some people might hesitate to donate or volunteer due to concerns about the organization's credibility, transparency, or accountability.
MCBT is attempting to address these barriers by creating the MerCo Giving Guide. We aim to improve outreach for these organizations, increase public transparency, and build stronger relationships with donors and volunteers.
